In many cases, when there is a problem with the patch capacitor, we don't know whether we can continue to use it, whether we can repair it, and whether we should stop using it. Because we are not professionals. Sometimes we stop using electrolytic capacitors that can be repaired, and sometimes we are repairing patch capacitors that should be stopped immediately. Then let's talk about under what circumstances the patch capacitor should stop using immediately and the safety precautions when handling faults.
When the chip capacitor is found to have one of the following conditions, the chip capacitor should be pushed out for operation immediately
(1) the shell of chip capacitor expands or a large amount of internal medium seeps out;
(2) The insulation terminal is broken or has burnt marks on the surface;
(3) Abnormal sound in the chip capacitor;
(4) When the temperature of the shell exceeds 65℃, the temperature display sheet falls off;
(5) The current of chip capacitor is obviously reduced;
Safety precautions when dealing with faulty chip capacitors
(1) When dealing with faulty chip capacitors, please turn on the isolating switch after the capacitors are all out of operation. Otherwise, the arc of the isolating switch is easy to break;
(2) Since the shell may be charged after the capacitor fails, it is necessary to wait for 3 minutes before contacting the capacitor, and then short-circuit the outlet terminal of the discharge capacitor with wires, and then handle the capacitor after confirming that there is no remaining power in the capacitor;
(3) After replacing the capacitor, clean up the oil stains left by the old capacitor to facilitate the operation observation of the new capacitor;
(4) The fastening part of the line should be properly tightened to avoid damaging the terminal with excessive force or burning out the terminal due to poor contact caused by insufficient fastening;
(5) If the fault capacitor cannot be confirmed when handling it, please consult the manufacturer's technicians and other experts immediately, and do not blindly handle it;
