The resistance of a conductor to current is called its resistance. In physics, resistance is used to express the resistance of a conductor to an electric current. Only those electrical appliances with metal shell (or those susceptible to moisture) will use three pin plug for power resistance test. In the three hole socket, in addition to the two holes of grounding wire and zero wire respectively, the other hole of power resistance is grounded, i.e. grounded. For the three pin plug on the household appliance, two pins are connected to the electrical part (such as the motor in the refrigerator and washing machine), and the other pin corresponding to the grounding jack is connected to the housing of the household appliance. In this way, the power resistor inserts the three pin plug into the three hole socket. While connecting the power part to the circuit, it also connects the housing to the ground. Why did you do that? The power resistance of the metal shell of household appliances is initially insulated from the live wire and is not live. There is no danger of human contact with the housing. However, if the insulation performance is lost or the insulating skin of the internal live wire is damaged, which makes the shell and live wire connected and causes the shell to be charged, and the power resistance in contact with the shell is equivalent to the power resistance in contact with the live wire, the power melting accident will occur. If the enclosure is grounded with wires, even if the enclosure is powered on, it will flow out of the grounding wire, and there will be no danger of people contacting the enclosure. The electric measuring pen is used to distinguish the live line and the zero line: the power resistance contacts the metal body of the pen end by hand, and the pen tip contacts the conductor (or the conductor connected with the conductor). If the neon tube is illuminated, it means that it is in contact with the live line; If the neon tube does not emit light, it indicates zero line contact. It should be noted that when using the measuring pen, the power resistance hand must contact the metal body at the end of the pen. If the hand does not touch the metal body of the pen tip, even if the pen tip contacts the live wire, the neon tube will not emit light, and the measuring pen will also lose its function. Only when a person's hand touches the metal body at the end of the pen, the power resistance will have current flow through the neon tube and enter the earth through the human body. At this time, the neon tube will light up. Why don't people get an electric shock? Because the resistance in the measuring pen is very large, more than one megohm. The power resistance when the measuring pen is used to contact the zero line and the ground line. There is no voltage difference between the ground line and the zero line, so the neon tube has no current. Of course, the neon tube will not emit light.

When measuring the resistance of power supply with electric pen, hands shall not touch the metal body of the pen tip. At this time, a large current will flow through the human body, causing an electric shock accident.

All power resistance appliances (including two hole and three hole sockets) are installed with fuses (fuse boxes) on parallel live wires. Generally, it is OK to install home appliance circuits in this way. In the two hole socket, the left side is connected to the neutral line and the right side is connected to the live line. When connecting the incandescent lamp, the power resistance switch must be connected to the live wire, the live wire power resistance must be connected to the tin point on the screw port lamp cap, and the zero wire must be connected to the screw sleeve.
